Privacy Policy

ShapeFlow is designed to keep the core custom-order workflow on-device. In v1, the app works locally on iPhone without requiring a ShapeFlow account or cloud sync. This policy explains how the app and the shapeflow.app website handle information. ShapeFlow is published and operated by SouthRock Technologies, LLC.

Short version: ShapeFlow stores your working data locally on your device, does not require a ShapeFlow login in v1, and only sends information outward when you choose to export, share, purchase through Apple, or contact support.

1. Information stored locally in the app

ShapeFlow stores the core app archive locally on your iPhone using on-device persistence. Depending on how you use the app, that local data may include:

  • Customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, height, weight, stance, skill level, and notes.
  • Order details, requested due dates, budget notes, pickup or shipping notes, and internal notes.
  • Board dimensions, construction details, fin setup, artwork details, and production-stage history.
  • Board archive information, surfer quiver boards, delivery records, rider feedback notes, and local board photos.
  • App settings such as wallpaper selection, floating text style, linked surfer profile state, and current app mode.

In v1, this data is intended to remain local to the device unless you choose to export or share it.

2. Face ID, device passcode, and shared-device security

ShapeFlow can optionally require Face ID or the device passcode before opening Shaper Mode on a shared iPhone or iPad. This check uses Apple’s local device-authentication framework.

ShapeFlow does not receive, store, or transmit your biometric template. The app only receives the success or failure result needed to decide whether the protected shaper workspace should open on that device.

3. App Store purchases

ShapeFlow offers optional in-app purchases through Apple. If you purchase a one-time unlock or restore a purchase, Apple processes the transaction. We do not receive your full payment card information.

The app may receive limited purchase and entitlement status information from Apple so that it can determine whether features such as unlimited customer storage are unlocked on your device.

4. Order sharing, backup files, imports, and support messages

ShapeFlow allows you to export structured order files using the `.sfo` file format and full-device backup files using the `.sfb` file format, and to import or restore those files back into the app. When you export or share one of these files, you are directing the app to package and send the information you selected through the destination you choose, such as Files, Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or another supported sharing target.

A full `.sfb` backup may include customer records, orders, boards, quiver entries, local board photos, production history, shop profile information, wallpaper choice, and linked surfer profile data stored on that device.

If you use the in-app feedback, bug-report, or support contact flow, your message may include details like the app version, iOS version, device model, current app mode, and the text you choose to send. That message is then handled by the email or sharing service you use.

5. Website information

When you visit shapeflow.app, your hosting provider and network infrastructure may automatically process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and request logs so the site can be delivered and secured. If you contact us by email, we also receive the information you choose to include in that message.

This website is intended as a product, legal, and support presence for the ShapeFlow mobile app. It is not a web app replacement for the mobile experience.

6. How information is used

We use information only as needed to operate and support ShapeFlow, including to:

  • Store and present local app data on your device.
  • Enable import, export, sharing, and support workflows at your direction.
  • Validate in-app purchase entitlements through Apple.
  • Respond to support requests, bug reports, or feedback you send us.
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the website and support experience.

7. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. In practice, information may be disclosed only in limited situations such as:

  • When you direct the app to share or export an order or support message.
  • When Apple processes an in-app purchase or restore flow.
  • When a hosting, delivery, or email provider is involved in running the website or support channel.
  • When disclosure is required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

8. Your choices and data control

You control most ShapeFlow data directly from your device and your chosen tools.

  • You can edit or archive records inside the app.
  • You can choose whether to export or share `.sfo` order files or `.sfb` backup files.
  • You can choose whether to email support or send feedback.
  • You can remove local app data by deleting records inside the app or deleting the app from your device, subject to your own backup settings.

Because v1 is local-first, the most complete copy of your working data typically lives on the device where you created it.

9. Data retention

Local app records remain on your device until you modify, archive, remove, or delete them, or until the app is removed from the device. Support emails and website-related records may remain in normal business systems for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.

10. Children

ShapeFlow is intended for general business and consumer use related to surfboard ordering. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly design the website or support process to solicit personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ShapeFlow evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page and post the revised policy here.
