Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to the ShapeFlow mobile app and the shapeflow.app website, operated by SouthRock Technologies, LLC. By accessing or using ShapeFlow, you agree to these terms.

1. What ShapeFlow is

ShapeFlow is an iPhone-first application and support website designed to help surfboard shapers and surfers organize custom board orders, customer records, board history, personal quivers, board photos, and related workflow data.

ShapeFlow v1 is intentionally offline-first. The app is designed to work locally on the device and may offer role-based access, import, export, backup, sharing, and in-app purchase functionality.

2. License and app-store relationship

Subject to these Terms of Use and any applicable App Store terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ShapeFlow for your own internal personal or business use.

If you download ShapeFlow through Apple’s App Store, your use may also be subject to Apple’s platform terms, store policies, and the applicable Apple standard or custom end user license terms.

3. In-app purchases and pricing

ShapeFlow may offer optional in-app purchases, including a one-time unlock for expanded customer-storage functionality on the shaper side. Prices, product names, and available features may change over time.

  • All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
  • Refunds, billing disputes, and payment methods are generally handled under Apple’s systems and policies.
  • Restorable purchases should be restored through the in-app restore flow when available.

4. Your responsibilities

When using ShapeFlow, you agree that you are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of customer, board, and order information entered into the app.
  • Reviewing custom board specifications before using them for production, ordering, or business decisions.
  • Any exports, shares, restores, or messages you send using the app’s support, file-sharing, or backup features.
  • Maintaining your own backup practices where appropriate.
  • Using device passcode and shared-device security features appropriately when customer data is stored on a shop device.
  • Using the app lawfully and without attempting to interfere with the app, website, or related services.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use ShapeFlow to:

  • Violate laws, third-party rights, or contractual obligations.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, unauthorized access tools, or content intended to disrupt the app.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or misuse the website or app except where applicable law expressly allows it.
  • Misrepresent your identity or submit false support, purchase, or product information.

6. Local data, files, and shared content

ShapeFlow may store your working data locally on your device. If you export an order, restore a backup, import a file, send an email, or use the website, you are directing ShapeFlow or your own selected tools to process that content for the purpose you chose.

This may include structured `.sfo` order files, `.sfb` backup files, surfer quiver records, board photos, and customer data. You retain responsibility for the content you enter and share, including customer data and board specifications.

7. Support, updates, and availability

We may offer support, updates, fixes, and improvements, but we do not guarantee that support or updates will be available at all times or that any specific issue will be resolved within a particular timeframe.

We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app, the website, or related features at any time.

8. Disclaimers

ShapeFlow is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

  • We do not guarantee that ShapeFlow will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every workflow or future device configuration.
  • We do not guarantee business outcomes, manufacturing outcomes, board performance outcomes, or production accuracy from information entered into the app.
  • ShapeFlow is a workflow tool, not a substitute for professional judgment, spec review, or shop process control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ShapeFlow and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, business, goodwill, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the app or website.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.

10. Intellectual property

The ShapeFlow name, branding, website, app design, text, graphics, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of ShapeFlow after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
